Hospital Response
24/7 Hospital Accompaniment for Survivors
SPARCC is dedicated to providing comprehensive support to survivors of domestic and sexual violence. As part of our commitment, we provide 24/7 hospital accompaniment services to survivors in our area.
When a service hospital contacts SPARCC with a survivor request, our team acts promptly to ensure the survivor receives the necessary support. An advocate from SPARCC is dispatched to the hospital to provide various services:
- Accompaniment: Our advocate accompanies the survivor during their time at the hospital, offering a supportive presence and ensuring they are not alone.
- Safety Planning: We work with the survivor to develop a personalized safety plan tailored to their specific needs and circumstances.
- Emotional Support: Our advocate provides compassionate and empathetic emotional support, creating a safe space for survivors to express their feelings and concerns.
- Education on Reporting Choices: We inform survivors about the available reporting options and guide them through the process, empowering them to make informed decisions about their situation.
- Crisis Intervention Services: If the survivor requires immediate crisis intervention, our advocate is trained to provide appropriate assistance and support during difficult moments.
If you or someone you know requires immediate assistance, please contact SPARCC’s helpline at 941-365-1976. We are here to provide the support and resources survivors need to navigate their healing journey and rebuild their lives.
