Volunteer
Volunteer Opportunities
It takes an entire community to make a difference.
SPARCC welcomes people with diverse backgrounds and skills to enrich our programs. All volunteers are considered advocates for social change by providing community education, outreach support, crisis intervention and fundraising support. Training is provided.
Direct Services
*Requires extended training
All direct-service volunteers for SPARCC are required to complete 60 hours of training in domestic violence and sexual assault. The domestic violence training consists of 24 hours (3 days) of in-person training and 6 hours of on the job training. The 3-day training course is facilitated 3-4 times per year. The sexual violence training is a self-paced training that is done on the computer with an additional 2-hour hotline role-play session.
Hospital Advocacy Teams* (Immediate Need)
On-call teams respond to night and weekend requests from area hospitals to meet with sexual and domestic violence survivors at the hospital to provide information and support regarding SPARCC services.
Please fill out the application and email it to SPARCC Communications Manager Ning Tinsley at nqin@sparcc.net.
